Stealing Sheep Present: Luma Disco

Stealing Sheep are a trio from Liverpool that formed in 2010. They have released 2 albums on Heavenly Recordings and  premiered material from their third unreleased third album at Manchester International Festival following their Samarbeta Residency in the Islington Mill event space.


The project entitled ‘LUMA DISCO’ included their new shimmery disco sounds and colourful pop-art lighting techniques that experimented with black light illusion, sound responsive light structures, cutting edge LED sculpturing, RGB shadows and robotic dance formations. A


Speaking to the Guardian in 2015 Stealing Sheep said:


“We wanted people to watch our gig and for it to be like an image – a sort of illusion, It’s evolving all the time.” This project will be the next step towards making this dream a reality."


The residency culminated in the debut performance of Luma Disco at the Festival Pavilion at Manchester International Festival on Saturday 8th July 2017.

Samarbeta’s 9th residency was with electro pop trio Stealing Sheep. During their 2 week residency they produced a brand new AV dance performance entitled Luma Disco that was debuted at Manchester International Festival 2017.
